Dressing Well Made Easy with M.M.LaFleur’s BENTOⓇ Styling Service: A Busy Mom’s Experience

Dressing well has always been important to me. After birthing two children during the pandemic, I emerged to find a new body, a new workplace dress code, and a new desire to find clothes that meet me in this phase of life. As a busy corporate mom, it can be hard to find time to research the right outfits, order them, and deal with returns and exchanges – even if I do love dressing well and feeling great in what I’m wearing. That’s why I was thrilled when M.M.LaFleur reached out to me to try their BENTO styling service.

The BENTOExperience

The process started with a quick style quiz online. I answered a few questions, gave them my cell phone number, and waited to be contacted. Based on my answers, M.M.LaFleur matched me with a stylist who connected with me within a day to say hello. She then texted me a lookbook of outfits by the following day. My stylist was responsive and eager to hear my feedback on what she chose. I made some adjustments, and she happily suggested some new styles for me. She sent a new lookbook, and I ordered the pieces that spoke to me.

Once the clothes arrived, I eagerly tried them on to see how they fit and felt. I then texted my stylist with a few exchange requests for items that needed a different size or style. She promptly sent me a shipping label for the returns, making the process incredibly smooth. She also gave me feedback on a few new pieces that I wanted to try.

For me, one of the hardest parts of ordering clothes online is the return and exchange process. But this process was so easy for me. I appreciated the convenience of being able to text with a stylist who created a quick order for me to approve and purchase. And it was a relief that I could ship my returns via Happy Returns at a location that was on a convenient route during my morning commute.

My Selections

I recently had my colors analyzed to understand what colors look best on me based on my skin, eyes, and hair. During this process, I found out that I haven’t been wearing the best shades for my coloring. So, I let my stylist know that I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and try some new-to-me colors that were supposed to make me glow. She was up for the challenge and delivered some great suggestions:

Whether I’m at work, presenting to executives, or chasing my children at after school activities, these outfits are perfect for me. I’m so excited to have them in rotation for my fall and winter closet.

The Convenience Factor

Admittedly, this was a busy time for me. My daughter started preschool, and I had a huge project at work that consumed my days. Given everything that was going on, the easy texting, ordering, and return process was such a delightful experience. I’m a product marketer by day, so I am sensitive to great customer experiences. And this experience exceeded my expectations. If I could nerd out on good marketing for a minute, I couldn’t help but think about how this process truly met the needs of one of their core customer personas: busy working moms.
